Cristina DiChiera brings 20 years of professional experience in arts management, creative professional development, and nonprofit and academic administration to her independent consultation for artists, organizations and municipalities.

Cristina has worked with artists throughout Rhode Island in her former capacity as Director of Artists Programs for the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts and honed her management skills as Manager of the Visual Arts Department at Brown University.

She ran the State of Rhode Island’s public art program from 2004-2008, gaining in-depth knowledge of best practices in public art selection, installation and project management.

She has served on grant and portfolio review panels for the National Endowment for the Arts, the Rhode Island Foundation, and state arts councils and nonprofit arts organizations throughout the Midwest and New England. She serves on the Board of Trustees of the Michigan Opera Theatre.

Among her greatest skills are coordinating and running public and private events, facilitating dialogue, and building networks among people, programs and institutions.
